SEO Experiment Update: Lessons Learned and Strategies Moving Forward

This video is an update on an experiment that I did recently where I posted over 40 articles in three days. This video is so important to make because there’s a lot of noise about being able to post unlimited AI-generated articles and that there are no bad effects. However, and by the way, full transparency, I said the same thing, I thought the same thing until I did this experiment.

The Experiment

I think it’s really important to experiment with things to make sure. I did this experiment specifically because I was saying that it’s fine to do this, but it turns out it’s actually not. Let me show you why that is.

Results of the Experiment

All of these hidden blog posts you can see on our Shopify store were originally indexed and some even got a few impressions, but then they were de-indexed. This is something that a lot of people are reporting is happening, and that’s why I’m making this video.

If you go on each blog post, you’ll see that they were all posted on the same dates – the third, fourth, or fifth of April. This was actually a big mistake on my part. However, I am here to tell you that we can recover from that, and in this video, I’m going to show you exactly what I am doing to recover.

Recovery Strategies

Let me show you an example – the article “Ultimate Guide to Four Season Two Fabrics Brands and Suits” was de-indexed, but now it’s indexed again. I achieved this by adding an FAQ section to the article and resubmitting it with some key changes.

One of the changes I made was to shorten the meta title and description and update the URL. I also made sure to make the article visible again on Shopify, which helped it to be re-indexed.

Lessons Learned

From this experience, I’ve realized that posting too much content in a short period of time can have negative consequences. Google may penalize your site for spammy AI-generated content, and it’s important to be mindful of this when creating and publishing content.

It’s also crucial to maintain a balance between quantity and quality when it comes to content creation. Experimenting with different strategies and monitoring the results is key to success in SEO.

Future Strategies

Moving forward, I will no longer recommend posting more than three GPT-4 blog posts per day. I will focus on quality over quantity and implement a more strategic approach to content creation.

By learning from my mistakes and adapting my strategies, I am confident that we can recover and improve the SEO performance of our website in the long run.
