Now that you’re inside GPT4, we’re going to want to enable some of the plugins. Click on your account settings, beta features, and enable web browsing and plugins. You can also change the theme to a light or dark one in the General settings.
Creating a Powerful Essay Prompt
The prompt I’m about to show you is an incredibly powerful prompt. For a lot of you, this might be the longest prompt you’ve ever used with ChatGPT. But in order to truly get great outputs, we need to be specific with what we’re telling GPT4.
First thing we’re going to specify to GPT4 is what we want. We’re going to say, “Please write a comprehensive essay on [topic]. This essay should be a minimum of 1000 words and must include the following elements.”
Then we’ll outline each element such as an engaging introduction, relevant headings, expanded points, use of sources, a conclusion, academic tone, in-text citations, and a reference list. We also want to ensure the content is plagiarism-free.
Generating Your Essay with ChatGPT
Now that we’ve set up our prompt, we can let GPT4 start writing the essay for us. It may take some time, especially with browsing enabled, as it searches the internet for up-to-date information.
Automating the Essay Writing Process
If you want to generate longer essays or articles with automation, you can use tools like Google Sheets connected to ChatGPT. By breaking down your content into chunks and automating the process, you can quickly generate high-quality posts or articles for your website.
