Exciting News from OpenAI and Chat GPT

So I’m still here in Vegas at CES but a flurry of news has been coming out of OpenAI around Chat GPT, and I wanted to make a super quick video to loop you in on what’s been going on over at OpenAI. I’ll get back to my CES updates probably in tomorrow or Friday’s video, but here’s what’s going on with OpenAI and Chat GPT right now.

The GPT Store is Now Open

Now, they are rolling it out, so it may not be in your account just yet, but by the end of the week, I imagine you’ll have access as well, assuming that you’re a Chat GPT plus subscriber. In order to access the GPT store, you’re going to simply log into your Chat GPT account, click on “Explore GPTs” on the left, and then explore the new GPT store layout. You’ll find featured GPTs, trending GPTs, and specific categories like writing, productivity, research and analysis, programming, education, lifestyle, and more. There’s a wide range of GPTs that you can explore and use.

Monetizing GPTs

OpenAI has announced that in Q1, they will launch a GPT Builder Revenue program. Builders will be paid based on user engagement with their GPTs. The criteria for payment will be provided as they get closer to the launch. It seems like the monetization model will be based on revenue sharing rather than a one-time purchase model.

Chat GPT for Teams

OpenAI has also released Chat GPT for Teams, which gives users access to a larger 32,000 context window. Teams also get higher message caps on Dol…

Memory Feature in Chat GPT

There have been reports of Chat GPT now having a memory feature that allows it to learn from past conversations and provide more relevant responses over time. This feature seems to be rolling out gradually, and users have reported positive experiences with it.

OpenAI’s Response to the New York Times Lawsuit

OpenAI addressed the New York Times lawsuit, stating that the training they used was fair use, and any regurgitation of content is a rare bug that they are working to eliminate. They mentioned that the New York Times prompted the model in a way that no one typically uses, leading to the verbatim replication of articles.

Conclusion

A lot is happening at OpenAI, and the developments in Chat GPT are both exciting and promising. From the launch of the GPT store to the introduction of Chat GPT for Teams and the potential for monetization, there are plenty of opportunities for users to explore and engage with AI technology. As the field continues to evolve, it will be interesting to see how these advancements shape the future of AI communication and interaction.
